Standing in the Gap Day 31- Inheritance

I praise you God for your wisdom and love. I know you only want what is best for us. Your Word says the children will feel the effects of the fathers sins to the third and fourth generations. It is for freedom that Christ has set (Name) free. By faith in Jesus, (Name) will receive an inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. (Name) will stand firm, and will not be burdened by a yoke of slavery that could be inherited from previous generations. (Name) is in Christ, therefore, he/she is a new creation: the old is gone, the new has come. Jesus, thank you for binding up the brokenhearted, for proclaiming freedom for the captives and releasing prisoners from darkness. Thank you for love that endures forever. Amen.

Standing in the Gap Day 30- Temptation

Thank you Lord for a high priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses, Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. I declare (Name) will be strong in the You and in Your mighty power so that he/she can take a stand against the devil’s schemes. (Name) will be self-controlled and alert. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (Name) will resist him, standing firm in the faith, because You God will not let (Name) be tempted beyond what he/she can bear. Thank you God that when (Name) is tempted, You provide a way out. I praise you for your unfailing grace and mercy. Amen.

Lord, thank you for calling (Name) into the body of Christ, where you have prepared a special place for him/her. As each part does its work, the body of Christ grows and builds itself up in love. I decree that when (Name) is in relationship with you God, he/she will know his/her part in the body. Open my eyes to (Name)s gifts and talents so I may encourage him/her. I declare whatever (Name) does, whether in word or deed, it will be done in the name of the Lord Jesus. As (Name) identifies and refines his/her gifts they will be used to serve others, faithfully administering grace in its various forms. Thank you God for hearing my prayer today. I decree (Name) will pray without ceasing. (Name) will be filled with confidence as he/she approaches you in prayer and will know you hear him/her. (Name) will not be anxious about anything, but in everything he/she will present his/her requests to You. And your peace which transcends all understanding will guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. When (Name) prays, it will be for your will to be done and when (Name) doesn’t know how to pray, thank you for the Holy Spirit that intercedes with groans that words cannot express. Thank you for your faithfulness and unconditional love. Amen.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. I declare (Name) will throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and he/she will run with perseverance the race marked out for him/her. (Name) will consider it pure joy whenever he/she faces trials. (Name) will remember that testing his/her faith develops perseverance and will make him/her mature and complete, lacking nothing. Thank you Lord for your compassion and mercy that comes with our perseverance. Amen.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank you Father for the amazing gift of forgiveness. Standing in the Gap Day 24- Discipline

Father, your word says “He will die for lack of discipline, led astray by his own great folly.” I don’t want that to happen to (Name). I decree he/she will heed discipline and listen to correction. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. I claim, (Name) will not forget this word of encouragement that addresses us as sons: he/she will not make light of discipline, (Name) will not lose heart when You rebuke him/her, because You Lord, discipline those You love, and punish everyone You accept as a son. I say, (Name) will not grow bitter with discipline, but will learn from it and harvest peace and righteousness. In Jesus name, Amen.

As Your children, God, we place our hope in you. I decree (Name) will be strong and take heart because he/she places hope in You not in things of this world. By putting hope in You, (Name) will renew his/her strength, he/she will soar on wings like eagles; will run and not grow weary, will walk and not be faint. God of hope, thank you for filling (Name) with all joy and peace as he/she trusts in You. I pray his/her hope would overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit and spread to everyone around him/her. I declare (Name)s hope will rest on the promise of eternal life, it will not be swayed or drained by the circumstances of this world. Thank you, Father, for sending Your Son Jesus, that we may look forward to eternity with You. Amen.

Standing in the Gap Day 22- Faith





Thank you Heavenly Father for Your amazing, saving grace. For it is by grace we are saved, through faith it is not from anything we do, it is a precious gift from You. Your Word says because of faith, sins are forgiven. Because of faith we are Your children. I declare today (Name) will have abundant, mountain moving faith. I say he/she will be active in sharing his/her faith, and will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. (Name) will be sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. In addition to all this, (Name) will take up the shield of faith, and extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one just the way that Jesus did. I praise you God for Your goodness, Your mercy and Your perfect gifts. Amen.

Lord thank you for Your Word that directs us in the way we should go and teaches us the way we should live. I say no matter what (Name) is doing he/she will have the same attitude as Christ Jesus. I declare she/he will think about whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy these are the things (Name) will focus on. I decree that (Name) will work with all his/her heart and a good attitude, as working for You, not for men. Thank you Lord for the inheritance you have promised (Name) as a reward for a right attitude. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God Your Word is precious to me and it says even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right. Regardless of age (Name) will set an example for others in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. I decree (Name) will be known by his/her actions and by his/her faith in You. (Name) will make good decisions and will not cause anyone to stumble. In everything, (Name) will set an example by doing what is good, he/she will live so others will see his/her good deeds. To this (Name) was called, because Christ suffered for him/her, leaving an example, that he/she should follow in his steps. Amen.

Standing in the Gap Day 19- Giving



Father God, thank you for giving so abundantly to us. I cannot thank you enough for the gifts of Salvation, Your love and my loved ones. I declare, (Name) will be a cheerful giver. Your Word says “whoever sows generously will also reap generously”. I say, (Name) will give time, talent and tithes abundantly. His/her motivation to give, is to bring You glory, not to receive honors from man. I decree, (Name) will desire treasure in heaven above treasure on earth. He/she will look not only to his/her own interests, but also to the interests of others. (Name) will remember, the Lord Jesus himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’. Thank you for reminding us to give. Amen.

Standing in the Gap Day 17- Self-Control





But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. God thank you for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. By acknowledging Jesus as his/her savior, (Name) has the ability to live by the Spirit and bear the fruit of self-control. I declare he/she will make every effort to be faithful, good, knowledgeable, self-controlled, to persevere in godliness, kindness and brotherly love. All of these qualities will keep him/her from being ineffective and unproductive. In the name of Jesus, I say, (Name) will be self-controlled and alert. LORD, I know you detest lying lips, but delight in men who are truthful. I decree, (Name) will live by truth. He/she will not give false testimony in any matter small or large. (Name) will simply let his/her ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and his/her ‘No,’ ‘No’. Lord I trust that you will save (Name) from lying lips and deceitful tongues. Standing in the Gap Day 15- Purity



It is God’s will that we should be sanctified: that we should avoid sexual immorality. Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, therefore I declare (Name) will honor God with his/her body and flee from sexual immorality. It is common to be tempted, but I decree, (Name) will stand firm against temptation and will not fall! Thank you God for your faithfulness; I know you will not let (Name) be tempted beyond what he/she can bear. But when (Name) is tempted, I say he/she will clearly see the way out that You have provided and will take that path. I say, (Name) will live by the Spirit, and will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. He/she will imitate God, as a dearly loved child and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. There will not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Thank you God for leading us in the way that brings us closer to You, Amen.

Standing in the Gap Day 14- Responsibility




Father God, we know nothing in all creation is hidden from Your sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before Your eyes and we must give account. It is required that (Name) must prove faithful in the things you have given him/her to do. I declare, (Name) will be trustworthy, honest and responsible in all ways. When he/she is required to give an account to You, (Name) will hear ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Standing in the Gap Day 13- Wisdom

Heavenly Father, Your Word says there is nothing more precious than wisdom. I desire wisdom for (Name) today. S/he holds you in high esteem, Lord, and that fear is the beginning of wisdom. Teach (Name) knowledge and good judgement all the days of his/her life. I say that whether (Name) turns to the right or to the left, s/he will hear a voice behind him/her saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Whenever (Name) is unsure and in need of wisdom, I declare that he/she will ask you, God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and wisdom will be given to him/her. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and for sharing your Son, Amen.

Standing in the Gap Day 12- Courage



God, you said “do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I declare that (Name) will turn to you and say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When s/he faces trials, I decree, (Name) will approach Your throne of grace with confidence, so that s/he will receive mercy and find grace to help in his/her time of need. (Name) will live by the Spirit you have given him/her which does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.


Enable me to pour love into (Name)s life. I will regularly say to him/her I have great confidence in you; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.
