Father, your word says “He will die for lack of discipline, led astray by his own great folly.” I don’t want that to happen to (Name). I decree he/she will heed discipline and listen to correction. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. I claim, (Name) will not forget this word of encouragement that addresses us as sons: he/she will not make light of discipline, (Name) will not lose heart when You rebuke him/her, because You Lord, discipline those You love, and punish everyone You accept as a son. I say, (Name) will not grow bitter with discipline, but will learn from it and harvest peace and righteousness. In Jesus name, Amen.
